Rotaract is back in Langley!
Rotaract is making a comeback in Langley, bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to the local Rotary community! Spearheaded by Harrison Merkl, Alex Davis and Zach Parker, proud Rotary supporters, the newly revitalized Rotaract Club is ready to make a difference.
What is Rotaract?
Rotaract clubs are community-based groups for young adults, typically aged 18-30, who are passionate about service, leadership and making a positive impact. Sponsored by Rotary, these clubs provide opportunities to develop leadership skills, connect with like-minded individuals and contribute to meaningful projects locally and globally.
A movement fuelled by RYLA
The revival of the Langley Rotaract Club was inspired by RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards), an intensive leadership program that encourages young adults to take initiative and give back to their communities. After attending RYLA, Harrison, Alex and Zach were motivated to bring Rotaract back to Langley, ensuring young leaders have a space to grow, serve, and engage with the community.
Strong support from the community
The return of Rotaract has been met with overwhelming encouragement from the local Rotary clubs and the broader Langley community. Rotary has always believed in empowering the next generation to give back, and this revitalization is a testament to that mission. With strong backing, the new Rotaract Club is set to become a powerful force for positive change.
How do I join?
Rotaract is excited to make a difference in Langley, and YOU can be part of it! The club meets on the second Wednesday of every month, and new members are always welcome.
