Biggest crowds ever for RibFest 2024!

Wow! A whopping 47,085 visitors came to RibFest August 16-18 at Langley’s McLeod Athletic Park, a new record. The sun came too . . . along with some fierce winds and a rainstorm Saturday night that made tumbleweeds out of some of our tents and installations. As we faced the cleanup, we wondered: Would we be able to re-open on Sunday? Well, this was Rotary, and of course we did! Thanks to some amazing volunteers and the sterling help of some TWU Spartans, we even opened on time. And as people arrived, the rain went away.

RibFest is all about family and fun! Young or not so young, there's something to appeal to everyone at Rotary's annual crowd-pleaser.

The money side of things is still being worked on, and the winner of our 50/50 Mega Draw won’t be drawn until Wednesday (Aug. 28), but our four Langley area Rotary clubs are so grateful to everyone who made RibFest 2024 possible: Our sponsors, without whom the event could not have happened; our volunteers, many Rotarians but also many others who stepped up from the community; our beneficiaries, who came to illustrate the support they receive from Rotary; and last but not least the people who attended and donated to the many causes we support. THANK YOU ALL!
