SASSY 2024

Seven students each went home with $1,000 bursaries May 9 as winners of Rotary's 9th annual SASSY (Service Above Self Student Youth) leadership awards. In all, there were 69 finalists in the seven categories and the runners-up, remarkable students also, each received $500.

Three charities also benefited from donations to and sponsorship of this event: Foundry Langley, Canuck Place (Abbotsford) and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

The awards were presented during an evening of spectacular entertainment by young musicians and dancers at Chief Sepass Theatre (Langley Fine Arts School) in Fort Langley. The host was former SASSY winner Megan Waddle.
